In the past twenty-eight years, Afro-One has performed at schools, colleges and universities, businesses and corporations, conferences, Kwanzaa celebrations, weddings, Rites of Passage, local festivals and community events. 

Highlights of theirs include in-concert presentations at Rutgers University, Essex College, Monmouth University, Penn State, Burlington County College, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the Philadelphia Zoo, the African American Historical Site at Boston, University of Pennsylvania Museum, the College of New Jersey, Richard Stockton College, the Conference on Black Families in Urban America, Bell Labs, the US Air Force at McGuire and the US Army at Fort Dix.

Performing Members

Dancers trained at the Afro-One School emerged as the first performing members of the company: Christina Bookhart, Dena Brown Young, Joie Brown Floyd, Tonah Milton, and Vickilynn Pearson. Other company performers who made long-term commitments to Afro-One include Pamela Lassiter, Sandy Oasin, James Gilliam, Eddie Rosado, McIvery Johnson, Raymond "Beanz" Ellis, T. Floyd, Julio Barrios, Jerome Williams, Bruce Hubbard, Jocelyn Earle, Tim Robinson and Marjorie Barnes.  The Junior Company, too numerous to name, also played a significant role in Afro-One's development.

Christina Bookhart, Assistant Director, is a graduate of Afro-One, Rutgers University and the University of Texas. She is a Ph.D. student in English at Rutgers University. 

Tonah Milton is an Afro-One graduate. An employee of Bell of Pennsylvania, Tonah joined Afro-One at the age of four and has been with the company for 24 years. 

Vickilynn Pearson is also an Afro-One graduate.  She has studied dance at Temple University in Philadelphia.
